Signposting further learning
Family learning activities offer an opportunity to promote further Skills for Life learning. These may be opportunities both inside and outside of your organisation, such as Family Literacy Language and Numeracy (LLN) courses or maths and English courses.
You may wish to invite a Skills for Life tutor or support person to come from your local FE college or Local Authority Adult Learning Service to advise adults who need support. You can also make information available or tell people about further opportunities in the local area. Your Family Learning Co-ordinator for your Local Authority will have information on what's available to families.
You can also signpost all participants to the national free advice line 0800 66 0800 where they can get impartial advice and guidance on courses. You can also order free promotional materials from the Get On campaign. See the Get On campaign toolkit toolkit for more information.
